Race Sports Biography
Some of the most deeply held ideas about race and racial difference are expressed in our beliefs about sports and athletic ability. What makes it so difficult to counter the argument that biological differences exist among racial groups is that there appears to be evidence to support it, especially on the playing field. But while there is some anecdotal evidence to support differing racial athletic aptitudes, the problem arises when these observations become unwavering attitudes that athletic ability is genetically determined and inextricably tied to race.
